Hey Gymgans! Some of you longer-time Gymgans may remember that I sometimes get my students (nursing) to do events or things with me. Well, 6 of them are running the Warrior Dash with me next month. Actually, I'm doing it with them. I'm thrilled that they want to include me in their event, but I'm mostly excited that the reason they want to do it is to have fun & be healthy.

Some of them are new to this health & exercise thing & are a little nervous, & the rest are very supportive of the newbies. Wouldn't it be great if the newbies adopted a healthier life style BEFORE they enter the health care professions? Much better role modeling!

I love seeing this type of supportive & community-building spirit. I'll be sure to let everyone know how it goes.

Warm down = 2 passes through killer cage :)

I loved this wod! I could do things like this for ever! Even after frustrating myself with DU practice for 45 minutes before, I still had a pretty good tank during.

Despite the lack of DUs, I'd have to say it was a pretty good day.

5 Bear complex (45)
200 m run
5 Toes to Bar (knees to elbows)
3 pullups

My first time ever with the bear complex. I needed more weight but I'll know that next time.

Then double under practice for @ 30 minutes.

Every day is like day 1 with DUs. There has been no improvement. I'm really discouraged but I'm still trying!

5 X 5 backsquats. I have a new pain in my right thigh so even air squats are bothersome. So I kept the weight really really low because any weight was bothersome. I'll get that looked at soon.

Then 2 rounds of 100m, 75m, 50m sprints.

Lots of fun after the squats & especially after Tuesday's workout (total 2.5 miles & 250 reps).

Then 16 double unders. Good times.
