First workout in the gym since we got the puppy and since the end of the Hourglass workout. It was crazy hot in there, and I was on my own (Z was at home with puppy), but I was glad to get back!

My Exercise
I finally got the book from Amazon, "7 weeks to 50 Pullups", in honor of the pullup challenge. This was going to be a rest day because the urge for a nap hit me while I was at work so I knew I woudn't make it to the gym.
After nap & food I got my second wind & started practicing the pullups. I liked it. Very short work out, but since it's technically a rest day I'll just put it a 5 minutes & call it even.

My team did really well in the dragonboat races, we won both of our heats but didn't have a good enough time to make the finals. My wrist wasn't giving me any attitude so I went out to play in a softball tourney a couple friends were in. Weather was gorgeous and the game wasn't too serious so I tried out pitching. It was pretty fun, I had more strike outs than walks so I'll take it. The park was a lot smaller than Powerade center so I was swinging for the fences. It was awesome, in the bottom of the 7th, I was up with the winning run on first and one out. The pitcher was trying to walk me until his teammates were calling him out. He put one down the middle and I got a walk off home run straight out to center :)

My Exercise
I made up a new running route that has some very small hills, grass, steps & concrete & is equal to 1/2 mile or 2 times around the Bally's parking lot. It also requires that I run through the Parking lot of a very popular & tasty Mexican food place (known for fajitas, etc, & has Cantina in the name). It will be interesting to run past it in the late afternoon with the smell of meat...... yum, meat!....
Anyway, developing the new route was my warmup = 1mile. Then in the very crowded gym:
OH weighted situps (+25 X 10 X 3)
Dbell bent row (each arm) (45 X 10) (55 X 8) (65 X 3)
The pullup bar seems to get higher each day. Personal note. Today it didn't matter because there were too many people gathered around it & all its cables. Anyway:
Incline bench press (65 X 10) (75 X 8) (85 X 6) (95 X 5)
Squats (135 X 8) (185 X 6) (205 X 4)
2 med ball 1-leg raise pushups (BW X 10 X 3) alternate legs
weighted pushups (+10 X 10) (+ 15 X 10) (+ 25 X 8) (+35 X 6) (+47.5 X 4) PR!!! 1st time more than 45#. It was heavy.
Walk run new route for a mile. End.
Not bad. I have been trying to get higher than 45 on a weighted pushup for a while. Glad i did it today. I'll keep working on getting stronger.

Even though the building is air conditioned & there are a number of box fans in the room it is so hot! Oh well, that's just part of the game.
Caveman says that the pricing is changing & everyone is going to be forced to paying for more sessions than I can possibly do. That's too bad. I hate to be bullied.
I guess I need to decide if I'm going to stay with crossfit or not. :-(
