Increasing your protein intake can help curb munching.
People who had a 10% protein diet ate 259 calories more in snacks, then those who had 15% protein (Journal: PloS One). If we aren’t eating enough protein, we tend to eat to in an attempt to reach a target level.
If you follow an 1,800 calorie diet, it’s recommended to aim for about 75 grams of protein per day!
