It took me long enough: after my encounter with the Norovirus, my attempt at recovery, falling behind in my classes because of it, then dealing with some personal issues;
But now I'm back, and I'm on top of the world again.
Will finally be back in the gym tomorrow!

Good news! It's not a torn rotator cuff, but I have to take a few days off from doing much with my shoulders. So I'll just do more cardio, legs and core work then. And then when I'm able I'll do more small shoulder muscle work.
In other news, I got the advanced release of Zombies, RUN! for the Iphone. So going to do some cardio today.

Hey!!! Good luck to all the CrossFitters competing the Open! Go get it!
I'll keep you posted on how I compare to the other 50-54 year old women. I hope you all share how you are doing, too. If anyone has a profile page on the Open site I would love to see it & cheer you on, there, too.
I'm on the team for Atomic CrossFit in the South Central Region. I don't think there's anything on that page that I haven't talked about on Gymga for the last year.
Go do work & remember to let us know how it goes!

Yes, it is extremely painful. Depending on how bad you tore it, but you will have limited movement, not movement with pain, but you literally will not be able to do certain moves like upright rows, bent over back flys, or straight arm shoulder flys. The best thing to do is to see a doc, it usually takes a very long time to heal and may need surgery and/or medication to help alleviate the pain and to allow it to heal right. It's not an injury to take lightly.

Can you workout at all? I have a few small routines I downloaded to my phone that I do when pressed for time.
