The artist says that you always do the eyes last - so the creature isn't watching you..... so.... about 90 min left on the underside of the tentacles and 90 min of detail work and shading - then..... the eyes.....

BadAss is right - I think he's sat for 13 hours so far - including 4 last night - and not including the 2 for the pin-up - I think it is really looking awesome and can't wait for the rest of the detail.... my backpiece was only 5 hours....

@fitink Ok - this is NOT what I expected my husband to come home with... I figured half to 1/3 of this size - not sure what I think about it in its current state.... pretty sure it will be amazing when fully detailed and colored..... but that is at least 2 more sittings - probably 3.... I know this takes him from - "I have a tattoo on my back" to "my back is a giant tattoo" YIKES - pretty much in shock

Only 2 hours the same I sat for my add-ons - but my new piece was way more detailed - - oh - no Betsy- No matching set :-) - it wraps around his side - but not very far.... I've seen one Octopus this artist has done and it was beautiful....

Yep - it did hurt Ashley - just kept my eye on the prize - I think it is going to be amazing - going to get color added right after Warror Dash Sept 11 - don't want any open woulds when I do that!!
