A Tree Branch Bends at the Weight of an Apple ......

A personal project I've been working on has been to develop my running ability and get faster! So, I've had this goal for years and naturally two years ago I joined this extremely competitive run club, but when I got too busy my attendance dropped as did my speed (not so much my miles) leaving me in the other runners DUST at any practice on any given day or time! Well, today I rolled up my sleeves and made a star appearance --I joined the other runners!

Still running in last place, heaving and looking quite awful opposed to and exemplary model runner I managed to survive the run --and it was my second one that day! I've always been afraid of being last, left behind, abandoned and basically what I'm describing I guess is failure. However, when you finally FACE RUNNING LAST and you ARE left behind --it's not so bad....I think I might do it again sometime...

6am - 7:10am (morning)
Workout 1: 8 miles run to school with heavy backpack on!

6:15pm - 7:30pm (evening)
Workout 2: 3 x 1000m sprints and 4 x 400m sprints (+ 1 mile warmup and 1 mile cool down)
approx: less than 10k
